Permalink Reply by Brae on September 23, 2011 at 10:24am Twitter's not working for me a lot yet...but that is probably because i have like 5 followers. LOL. On my other blog I had awhile back, I got a lot of results from BlogFrog. (www.blogfrog.com ) I do have a new account there, but I haven't cultivated it. So, it's not doing much for me right now either. The problem with Blog Frog is that it's literally an online chat board/forum and you have to spend a lot of time talking with other women and commenting on their topics for it to make a difference. It's great, and I have made some good friends that way- but if you don't have all day to sit around and chat, it really sucks the time out of the day.
Some good networking sites in addition to MBS:
bloggymoms.com
blogher.com
topmommyblogs.com
sits.com
and you can do blog voting sites like
wereonthefence.com
topmommyblogs.com

Permalink Reply by Nicole Hughes on October 1, 2011 at 6:12pm I joined bloggy moms and tried to join the mom bloggers club but I never got an email back from them. I think maybe I haven't been consistently posting long enough.

Permalink Reply by Nicole Hughes on October 3, 2011 at 10:33am I've used BlogFrog before and just like Brae, I felt I had to spend a ton of time there for little results. It seems that they are mostly concerned with getting rather than giving. At least that has been my experience. And that is exactly what I'm trying to avoid here on MBS. You have to give if you want to receive and that in itself will bring success.
Permalink Reply by Wendy Wright on October 3, 2011 at 6:47pm I use a variety because each person is different in how they approach the social network. For instance, with Twitter on May 17th I tweeted "Twitter is still a foreign language to me. If I tweet and it is retweeted, how do I find out where it is retweeted or who did the tweeting?" I was a newbie and I didn't really like Twitter. Now...totally different story...BUT...Many people do not like Twitter so if I just ignored Facebook I would leave a huge group of people out of the loop. I integrated my Twitter feed on Facebook as a way to combine the two. Facebook still drives more traffic to my blog posts, probably because the picture of the post is included where it is not on Twitter.
I also get hits from my other site, Arizona Moms Network. Blog Frog has some and I just left Networked Blogs.
