Permalink Reply by Alice Tunnell on October 26, 2011 at 6:33pm We started out blog last year, (putting it together) and than in March we started publishing our posts. The coach we are working with gave me the following suggestions for social sites:
Stumble,Delicious,Reddit,Dig,Plazoo,Codango,FeedPlex,MillionRSS,Feedcat and of course FaceBook and Twitter.
You will have to create an RSS feed if you use Plazoo, Codango, FeedPlex, MillionRSS and Feedcat.
You can go to Page2RSS to create your RSS Feed from your blog url.....
I've been doing this since March on every post I publish, it does help with visitors to your blog.
Hope this helps
Alice
Permalink Reply by Jana Hartley on October 27, 2011 at 11:30am Thanks for all the great tips everyone. I can't wait to check out some of these sites you are using. I have just started using Triberr in addition to FB, Twitter, and LinkedIn. I absolutely LOVE Triberr. I also write for Bliss.com and am starting to work with hivehealthmedia.com I find that guest posting is a great way to expand your reach and your traffic. Hope that helps. Jana

Permalink Reply by Sadie Lankford on January 11, 2012 at 12:37pm I've found that using Twitter Tools has helped me a lot when using Twitter. I didn't understand Twitter at all for the longest time, but now that I've started using them I like it much better.
Facebook is good, too, but you really have to work hard to keep fans and get them interacting. I've found that funny pictures work the best so if you can somehow post a funny picture and link it to a post of yours, it will help a lot. :) Also, having a good landing page is a must! You can link all kinds of posts and get more visits. On my landing page I think I have a link to like 9 of my posts. It works!

Permalink Reply by Marie Bock on February 6, 2012 at 9:22am I just learned about BlogFrog but really haven't had a chance to try it out. Most of the people that find me are from Search Engines. The majority of people following me on Twitter are trying to sell me something. Every day I take a little time out to read new blogs and try to comment on them. I've only had my blog for around 2.5 months so everything is pretty new to me.
I am on BlogHer also. Brae, are you doing the NaBloPoMo on BlogHer? I just started it this month.
Permalink Reply by Shauna Smith on February 8, 2012 at 7:17pm I have had the best luck with twitter. I have found the key to follow people you are interested in and that might be interested in what you do and be FRIENDLY to everyone. its a big social party. Get involved in chats etc to help get people going and ask people to retweet you.. I noticed when I followed people that interested me and retweeted their stuff and said hi out of the blue things really got moving for me there.. Well that's what I have been doing!! FB is a good place too start a page and get some followers there.. Join blog groups too on fb. I have also joined a few blog hops too..
Permalink Reply by John "Kohdok" Bower on February 13, 2012 at 3:50pm I actually do video reviews so I've gotten my start on Youtube, spreading mainly by quality reviews, word-of-mouth and posting links on relevant sites (I posted my Lite Sprites review on the Lite Sprites Facebook page, for example. I'm trying to transition into social media beyond Youtube, but I just have no skill at it. I got a college degree in filmmaking, not social networking. I'm here to spread my name, as well.
