Personal hygiene in women is actually very important in building relationships. A woman’s personal hygiene plays a vital role on how she communicates with the people in her surroundings and how comfortable and confident she is when carrying herself in front of them.

All women should be more knowledgeable in taking care of themselves by checking tips and advices related to personal hygiene either online or in magazines. Most women might have already known some of the basic personal hygiene tips but unaware of some very important ones.
Below are several of the most essential personal hygiene tips all women should know.

1. Be in the constant look out for your body odor – Applying deodorant after you shower is the basic step in avoiding body odors especially if your work requires intense physical exertions. But, you should monitor how you smell throughout the day. If you notice that your armpit is sweating unusually, go to the bathroom and dry it using baby wipes and re-apply deodorant. Leaving your armpit wet all day long causes odor-producing bacteria.
2. Washing doesn’t always mean cleaning – Most of the hygiene-related tips you might have read always tell you to wash this and that. But, the truth is, excessive washing especially in your genital area can possibly lead to infection and vaginal odor. Excessive washing of your vagina using feminine or iodine wash strips off good bacteria which can lead to yeast and bacterial infections.
3. Clean yourself before and after sex – Some women might not be aware of this but personal hygiene is very important before and after sex. Washing your genital area before having an intercourse doesn’t only ensure vaginal hygiene but also helps in getting rid of vaginal odor. Washing your genital after intercourse also helps you avoid getting infections.
4. Wear your undies only once – To ensure in avoiding bad bacteria to breed on your undies or bras, you should only wear them once before washing them. It is also recommended that you wash your underwear with mild detergent to avoid the risk of irritation and infection.
5. Avoid high meat consumption – If you already have problems with vaginal odor, it is recommended that you avoid eating meat as it heightens vaginal odor. Women should eat green vegetables and fresh fruits and drink two liters of water every day to maintain genital hygiene.
